RSS chief demands “a temple, a well and a crematorium” in Indian communities

Aligarh (UP): Looking to end caste differences, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat called on members of the Hindu community to strive for social harmony by embracing “a temple, a well and a small crematorium.” During a five-day visit to Aligarh, Bhagwat spoke with the “Swayamsevaks” at two “Shakhas” at HB Inter College and Panchan Nagri Park, and stressed that realizing true social solidarity is crucial for India to achieve its global peace responsibility.

RSS sources said Bhagwat stressed the importance of “Sanskar” as a cornerstone of Hindu society, urging its members to build a society rooted in traditions, cultural values and moral principles.

He urged the “Swayamsevaks” to engage with all parts of society, invite them into their homes and spread a message of harmony and solidarity at the grassroots level.

Bhagwat said that the “family” remains the basic unit of society, based on strong family values derived from “Sanskar”.

He further encouraged the celebration of the festival in a collective way to strengthen the foundation of nationalism and social cohesion.

His visit began on April 17 and involved the daily meeting with the RSS Pracharaks in the Braj area, which was part of the RSS centenary celebrations, which began this Vijayadashami.
