RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat starts five-day visit to Odisha

Bhubaneswar: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat arrived in Bhubaneswar on Monday night, marking the beginning of his five-day visit to Odisha. This visit is important in Sangh’s organizational calendar and will focus primarily on internal meetings and training sessions, aiming to strengthen the grassroots network of clothing in the state.
Bhagwat landed at Biju Patnaik International Airport in close security arrangements and was enthusiastically received by senior RSS staff and a group of volunteers. Several local leaders of the organization were present to welcome him, although his arrival kept the keys relatively low and insisted on Sanger’s customary discretion.
Although Bhagwat’s detailed itinerary has not been made public, RSS insiders confirmed that he will host a series of closed organizational meetings and featured gatherings for volunteers. A senior RSS leader said Bhagwat will stay at Sangh Sikshya Barga (training camp) in Gatiroutpatna in Cuttack and will not participate in any program or public activities outside of the campus during the stay.
“He is likely to speak to RSS volunteers at least three times inside the camp and conduct a thorough review of ongoing activities in Odisha organizations.” In addition to these interactions, Bhagwat is expected to develop a preliminary plan for the RSS centenary celebration, which is scheduled to be carried out in the coming years and has particularly emphasized the state’s contribution.
The RSS chief will leave Odisha on May 16 after ending his involvement. Both political observer and Sangh members’ visits have attracted the attention of both political observer and Sangh given Odisha’s national expansion strategy.
