Andhra Pradesh Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan tweeted on Friday (4 April 2025) that the passage of the WAKF Amendment Bill is not only a parliamentary achievement, but also a historic step towards justice, fixation, fixation, responsibility and accountability.

He said the National Democratic Union (NDA) government has once again demonstrated its commitment to addressing the long-term concerns to the WAKF board under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Lack of transparency, poor property management and subsidies for target recipients, especially those living in Muslim communities, are serious problems.

The WAKF (Amendment) bill is an important step in addressing the challenges facing the WAKF board of directors and will bring much-needed transparency in matters. This will ensure that WAKF benefits reach poor Muslims and represent Muslim women on the board.

Mr Kalyan said the bill had been debated for about 12 hours in Lok Sabha and 14 hours in Rajya Sabha (RS).

“The concerns raised by the opposition are fully addressed. That’s how responsible and constitutionally committed governments should function,” he said.
