President Putin announced a ceasefire in a video message. The post is shared with the video on X: “The Russian side announced the announcement of #EasterCeasefire from 06:00 pm this afternoon to 06:00 AM Monday. This is for humanitarian reasons. I hereby order all military operations to stop during this period.”

President Putin made the announcement at the Kremlin meeting with the Russian Armed Forces Chief of Staff Valery Gerasimov, according to the official telegram account of the Russian MFA.
