S Sreesanth breaks silence on Sanju Samson Row's three-year suspension

Sreesanth claimed that last year, Samson deliberately ignored the KCA in order to play for Kerala Team, resulting in his omission from the national team.
Sreesanth, a former Indian cricketer, chose not to provide a statement about the three-year suspension of the Kerala Cricket Association, citing a lack of awareness on the issue. The suspension was suspended due to Sreesanth's alleged false and derogatory remarks, which the group's handling of Sanju Samson was excluded from the 2025 2025 Championship trophy by Sanju Samson. Sreesanth claimed that last year, Samson deliberately ignored the KCA in order to play for Kerala Team, resulting in his omission from the national team.
The decision to suspend Sreesanth was made at the KCA annual general agency meeting in Kochi on April 30, followed by the state cricket agency in an official statement on Friday.
Sreesanth declined to comment on the matter when Ians sought a response. “I don’t know that,” Sreesanth said.
Meanwhile, Sreesanth is currently awaiting official exchange from the Kerala Cricket Association (KCA). Sources show he plans to take legal action against the three-year suspension imposed on him.
This is not the first time Sreesanth has found himself in a controversial situation. In 2023, he received a legal notice from the Legend League Cricket (LLC) Commissioner after a live dispute with the current head coach of the Indian men's team Gautam Gambhir.
Sreesanth's previous troubles date back to his final match against the Rajasthan Royals on May 9, 2013. During that season, he was charged with participating in the scene fixation, which eventually led to his arrest. Despite always proclaiming his innocence, Sreesanth, as well as Ankeet Chavan and Ajit Chandila, were given a life ban.
The life-long ban was overturned after the Supreme Court's legal challenge and directed the cricket control board (BCCI) in India to reassess the punishment. Subsequently, Sreesanth's suspension was reduced to seven years and ended in September 2020.
Since then, Sreesanth has competed for Kerala in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy in 2021. His last appearance in Kerala in the 2021-22 Ranji Trophy season was against Meghalaya.
