India imposed anti-dumping duties on five Chinese products that were imported to market prices below market prices, which led them to suspect that they were “dumped” here. These barriers should help protect Indian producers from potential unfair competition in countries with low domestic demand, ventilation pressures and overcapacity.

It is not surprising that Chinese producers want to export surpluses at snap-up prices. Since demand at home is not enough to absorb the loss of its plants, it is sometimes found that the following costs are more financially significant in selling in overseas markets than reducing output to the level of advantages that bring about reversal of economies of scale.

The Indian Trade Bureau has determined that the latest responsibilities cover soft ferrite cores, vacuum insulating bottles with a certain thickness, aluminum foil, trichloroisocyanuric acid and vinyl chloride paste resins, which are determined by the Director of the Indian Trade Bureau.

What is unclear is whether the coverage of anti-dumping measures will be expanded. India must remain vigilant given the downturn in China’s economy and trade fluctuations caused by new U.S. tariffs. We should not let the chips fall wherever possible.
