Samsung ‘Galaxy Authorization’ launches immersive program for Bhutan’s teaching community

“The technology we’re seeing today shows how classrooms can become more exciting and friendly. I’m thinking about how to try small changes in my own school,” said Garner shy shyam dhungana, academic director of Perlephu (sarpang Gelephu).
As a global leader in technology, Samsung is committed to transforming the future of education by developing classrooms for future employment, allowing teachers to integrate the latest technologies and modern teaching methods. Through initiatives like “Empowering the Galaxy”, Samsung not only supports educators, but also helps schools become leaders in educational innovation.
“At Samsung, we learn that empowering teachers is to inspire classrooms to become a vibrant space for curiosity, creativity and connection. Through “Empowering the Galaxy”, our goal is to shape the minds of a generation of future generations. We are proud to see the program go beyond India, bringing it beyond India and announcing a global platform to learn and announce for India.
The Authorized Galaxy program is available for free to teachers and schools to ensure valuable educational resources are accessible without financial restrictions. It offers cost-free online training, self-paced courses and physical bootcamps on Galaxy Empower’s website.
“This visit reminds me that technology is not only for big cities. With proper support, even remote schools can benefit from these innovations,” said Pema Dorji, headmaster of Jigmeling Primary School (Tang, Bumtang).
In India, under the protection of the “Authorized Galaxy”, 4,800 teachers from more than 250 schools have obtained certificates since December 2024. The program aims to authorize 20,000 teachers from 600 Indian schools by 2025 to 2025.
