Samsung will launch Galaxy S25 Edge on May 13: What to look forward to

Samsung will launch its next flagship smartphone in India on May 13, the Galaxy S25 Edge.
The company opened the Galaxy S25 Edge on Galaxy in San Jose, California shortly after launching the Galaxy S25 series.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, the Galaxy S25 Edge will focus more on AI capabilities than on major hardware upgrades.
In an interview BloombergTM ROH, who is in charge of its smartphone division, said the Galaxy S25 Edge’s technology will be the same as the S25 Ultra, but with a smaller design. “We’ve been trying to combine all the advantages of the S25 Ultra,” Roh said.
He added: “Customers want the best performance, the best camera features, the best AI, but at the same time, they want a more attractive form factor.”
ROH explains that there are two reasons for choosing the “edge” name: a thinner design and the use of more cutting-edge technology. He also revealed that the price of the S25 edge will be lower than the super model.
Expected features:
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to have a 6.8-inch AMOLED display with QHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is reported that the thickness of the flagship smartphone is only 5.8mm.
The South Korean tech giant confirmed the device will come with Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 protection.
It will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, although some regions may get variants through Samsung’s Exynos processor.
Rumors are that the Galaxy S25 Edge has a dual-camera setup, a 200MP main sensor with enhanced low-light capability, and an ultra-wide angle or telephoto lens.
The device can offer 12GB of RAM and storage options, from 256GB to 1TB. It is expected to run on Android 15-based UI 7 with new AI capabilities and voice command capabilities. The battery capacity is expected to be 3,900mAh and supports 25W wired and 15W wireless charging.
As Samsung executives previously confirmed that the S25 Edge will be priced lower than the Ultra model, we can expect the device to be priced between the S25 and the S25 Ultra.
