India prepares to retaliate against whether PAK escalates tensions: Ajit Doval

New Delhi: Officials said National Security Adviser Ajit Doval told his colleagues in various countries on Wednesday that India has no intention of escalating tensions, but is prepared to “resolutely retaliate” if Pakistan does so.

Doval introduced India's missile strikes against Pakistan's terrorist infrastructure and Pakistan-occupied Jamu and Kashmir to the United States, Britain, Saudi Arabia and Japan. Officials said he also established ties with Russia and France.

“The NSA introduced his peers to the action and implementation method taken, which was measured, non-scalable and limited. He stressed that India had no intention of escalating, but was ready to escalate against Pakistan's decision and was ready to retaliate with firm revenge.”

The dialogue took place after India conducted Operation Sindoor at nine locations.

He spoke with the National Security Agency (NSA) and Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Jonathan Powell of the United Kingdom, Musaid Al Aiban of Saudi Arabia, HH Sheikh Tahnoon of the United Arab Emirates and Masataka Okano of Japan.

“There are also ties with Russia's NSA Sergei Shougu, a member of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee and foreign minister of PRC WANG YI, and a diplomatic adviser to French President Emmanuel Bonne,” the official said.

Doval will contact his peers further in the coming days.
