SC Collegium proposes transfer of 7 High Court judges

The Supreme Court’s university recommended seven transfers, including four from the High Court judge Karnataka. The university, led by Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna, made a decision at a meeting held from April 15 to 19.

“To inject inclusion and diversity at the High Court level and strengthen the quality of justice, the Supreme Court University recommended the transfer of the High Court judges at its meetings held on April 15, 2025 and April 19, 2025,” a university resolution.

These recommendations require that Judge Hemant Chandangoudar from the Karnataka High Court be taken to Madras High Court, Judge Krishnan Natarajan go to Kerala, Justice Neranahalli Srinivasan Srinivasan Sanjay Gowda go to Gujarat, and Judge Dixit Krishna Shripad.
In addition, Collegium suggested transfer of Justice Perugu Sree Sudha of Telangana to Karnataka and Kasoju Surendhar Alias ​​K Surender to Madras High Court, respectively.

It is recommended to transfer the Justice Kumbhajadala Manmadha Rao of Andhra Pradesh High Court to Karnataka.
