TTD launches “Swacch Andhra-Swaach Tirumala” event

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) launched the “Swachh Andhra-Swachh Tirumala” initiative on Saturday, aiming to maintain sanitation in the temple town. TTD Additional Executive Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary calls on devotees to avoid trash. The initiative began with the cleanliness of the “Kunkala Point” on the first Ghat Road, where Mr Chowdary managed the Swachh Andhra promised to address the staff and began the cleanup. Although plastic is officially banned in Tirumala, pilgrims still dispose of plastic waste on the roadside. He urged them to use the bin. About 400 TTD employees, police officers, Srivari Sevaks and students participated in the operation.
