Absolutely unpolite mood: J&K CM Omar Abdullah expresses frustration at flight transfer

The Delhi-bound Indigo flight carries Jamu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah landed in the national capital in the early morning of Sunday (20 April 2025), after it was reportedly transferred to Jaipur on the evening of April 19 (19 April).

The flight reportedly departed from Jaipur at 2.00 am on Sunday (April 20). According to J&K Chief Minister, the flight landed after 3.00am.

In response to an article on X, Mr. Abdullah said: “If anyone wants to know, I arrived in Delhi after 3:00 am and he loudly criticized the Delhi Airport, calling it “Bl ** dy dy s ** t Show”.

“Delhi Airport was a show (sorry, my Frenchman, but I don’t want to be polite). 3 hours after we left Jamu, we were transferred to Jaipur, so I was on the plane’s steps at 1 am and the plane got fresh air. I didn’t know we would leave here here,” he said on X’s one of his frustrations, one of his frustrations.

Regret inconvenience at the airport

Dial’s reply to the Chief Minister said it had issued several consultations on the wind patterns in Delhi that do not change seasonally.

It said in its 1110-hour post: “Since April 8, consultations have been conducted with all stakeholders and in accordance with the Historical Wind Pattern, the runway 10/28 has begun closing on April 8.”

Additionally, Dial said the shift to more oriental winds, during which the use of the fusion runway for the arrival of the east has resulted in temporary capacity restrictions.

“These conditions can sometimes lead to flight transfers to ensure passengers are safe. We sincerely regret the inconveniences that have been brought to you,” it said.

A source at Indigo said the flight was transferred to Jaipur due to traffic congestion at Delhi Airport.

Delhi Airport has been delayed in recent days due to the closure of a runway for maintenance and Dongfeng Feng.

Weather conditions affect flight operations

Earlier on Saturday, Jamu Airport also witnessed a chaotic scene, with hundreds of passengers complaining about inconvenience due to flight delays and cancellations.

Bad weather conditions in Srinagar ruined the flight operations and affected several connected flights. In an article on X, Indigo posted a travel consultation and said: “6etravelAdvisory: The weather in Srinagar is not bad and is affecting flights, but we are here to let you know!”

The consultation further added: “Weather conditions in Srinagar are affecting flight operations. We understand that this can cause inconvenience and really appreciate your patience… Our team is actively monitoring the situation and once the weather is good, our team will run smoothly right away.”
