SC recognizes Sofia Qureshi’s achievements

New Delhi: In a landmark ruling in February 2020, the Supreme Court acknowledged the achievements of Colonel Sofia Qureshi, one of two female officials who introduced Operation Sindoor to the media on Wednesday and Thursday, while awarding the permanent committee of female officers of the Indian Army.
The Supreme Court allowed the Women Officials Committee serving in the Army, and he said it was absolutely prohibited from women’s Short-term Service Commission (SSC) officials from getting anything other than a mission, but did not achieve the purpose of granting PCs as a means of career development in the military.
The Supreme Court also mentioned the differences achieved by female officials and proposed examples of Colonel Qureshi’s achievements.
“Col. Sophia Qureshi (Army Signal Corps) was the first to lead the Indian army in a transnational military exercise called “Movement Force 18″, the largest foreign military exercise ever in India. She had been at the United Nations in 2006 in Congo and in peacekeeping United Nations peacekeeping operations, where she joined others in the work of the people, including humans, and recruited a family among humans and played in humans in conflict-affected areas,” the Supreme Court said.
The court had said of the Center’s affidavit on this issue that the anti-devotes contained a detailed elaboration of the services provided by female SSC officials to the cause of the nation and was shoulder to shoulder with their male counterparts.
“However, the repeated pleas in this court has downplayed this role, namely the biological composition of women and the nature of social environment, playing a role that is less important than the role played by male peers.
“The road to obedience is disturbing because it ignores the solemn constitutional value that every institution in the country must uphold and promote.
In a media briefing on Wednesday, Qureshi of the Indian Air Force (IAF) and wing commander Vyomika Singh were flanked by Foreign Minister Vikram Misri’s DAIS, who delivered the government’s opening remarks. The trio also spoke to the media on Thursday and provided the latest updates on Sindoor’s action.
The briefing was a missile strike against nine terrorist targets in Pakistan for hours under Operation Sindor, and retaliated against the 22 April Bahargham terrorist attack in retaliation for Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
Qureshi was born in Vadodara, Gujarat in 1974 and graduated from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University in 1997 from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University.
In the past, an officer of the Key Signal Corps had served as a military observer in Congo in 2006, in addition to being a flood mitigation operation in the Northeast.
The official broke the ceiling on glass in 2016 and became the first female official to lead her chance in a transnational field training exercise, called “Sports Force 18”, which was chaired by India to maintain the interoperability of peace in ASEAN countries.
