The bench of Justice Surya Kant and N Kotiswar Singh said Allahabadia’s plea will be considered on April 28.
At the hearing, Deputy Attorney General Tushar Mehta, who appeared for Assam and Maharashtra police, said in Guwahati Fir, a statement from a co-defendant would be recorded, while an investigation into Mumbai’s FIR was conducted but no charges were filed.
The bench recorded Mehta’s statement and observed that Allahbadia’s investigation was completed.
The Supreme Court on March 3 allowed Allahabadia to resume its podcast “ranveer Show” but to maintain “ethical and decent” and to suit audiences of all ages.
Allahbadia, widely known as Beerbiceps, was booked for the comics and sex comments of India’s got ’em’. Initially, any plan for Allahbadia to air his podcast was initially limited, which had a direct or indirect effect on the merits of the sub-trial cases he was involved in.
In addition to Allahabadia and Reina, others in Assam also mentioned the comics, Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh and apoorva makhija.
