SC uploads judge's assets details on its website

New Delhi: The outgoing Chief Justice Sanjiv Khanna has Rs 55.75 lakh in fixed deposits, three-bedroom DDA apartments in South Delhi and a four-bedroom apartment, with a dimension of 2,446 square feet in the Commonwealth Game Village.
CJI-appointed Justice Br Gavai owns over Rs 19.63 lakh in the bank, a house in Amravati, Maharashtra inherits the apartments of his late father, Bandra of Mumbai and Delhi's defence colonies, and agricultural lands in Amravati and Negpur.
To increase transparency, the Supreme Court uploaded a statement of judges’ assets on its website on Monday, after a decision to place the relevant details in the public domain.
“All courts of the Supreme Court of India decided on April 1, 2025 that the asset statements of judges of the court should be placed in the public domain by uploading the same judge on the website of this court. The asset statements of judges received have been uploaded. The statements of other judges will be uploaded. The current statements are announced in the current statement.

Viswanathan Judiciary also announced details of income tax of Rs 9.147 crore from the 2010-11 period to 2024-25.
In addition to uploading detailed information on judge assets, the top courts provide a complete appointment process for the appointment of the High Court and the Supreme Court, including roles assigned to the High Court University, roles and inputs obtained by the State Government from the Union of India, and on the website of the Supreme Court Cooperative, its website, its knowledge and popularity.
