Scammers who do not use card 1.8 rupees

Hyderabad: A cyber fraud posed on a bank credit card representative deceived a city victim of Rs 1.8 lakh. The victim filed a complaint with the city’s cybercrime department, saying he received a call from someone who claimed to be from the bank’s credit card department. The caller said the victim was punished for not using a credit card.
The liar then assured the victim that he would waive the fine. City Cybercrime ACP RG Siva Maruthi said he initiated a video call and directed the victim to display his credit card and collected data including the CVV number. He then received a series of OTPs. He did not reveal them to the liar. Nevertheless, the amount was deducted from his credit card.
