All schools in six border areas of Punjab are still closed on Thursday (8 May 2025) amid soaring tensions between India and Pakistan.

They said the schools were closed in the Ferozepur, Pathankot, Fazilka, Amritsar, Gurdaspur and Tarn Taran areas.

Deputy Commissioner Tarn Taran issued an order saying all schools in the area will be closed from May 8 to 11.

Officials said in Ferozepur, authorities ordered the school to be closed for the next 72 hours until further orders.

Schools closed in Rajasthan border area

All government and private schools in the border area of ​​Rajasthan, including Barmer, Bikaner, Sri Ganganagar and Jaisalmer, have announced a holiday until further notice.
