Telangana’s second largest Rama Navami Fete in Huzurabad

Karimnagar: The annual Kalyana Mahotsavam of Sri Sita Ramachandra Lord celebrates grandly and devoutly in the Sri Ramalayam temple, marking the Sri Rama Navami in the Huzurabad constituency.
The event, considered Telangana’s second largest Srirama wedding ceremony, attracted devotees from the Karimnagar area and adjacent areas, providing a spiritual alternative to those unable to visit the state’s main shrines.
The celebration began with the local MLA PADI KAUSHIK REDDY, regional collector Pamela Satpathy and police commissioner Goush Alam, showing the deities Pattu Vastrams, Talambralu and Garlands. Silk robe and pearl Talambralu from Kondagattu Sri Anjaneyas Swamy and Dharmapuri Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Semples add to the grandeur of tradition.
The Vedic chants respond in the temple when the priest solemnly holds a celestial wedding. The regional government acted on the instructions of collectors, erecting Shamiyanas, fans, carpets and high-capacity power lines to keep the crowd comfortable. The Millers Association provided free meals and drinking water, while live television broadcasts allowed devotees throughout the region to witness the ceremony.
To mitigate traffic, Commissioner Alam deployed 250 officials, created six parking areas, and installed surveillance cameras. Brahmotsavams, which will open on April 4, will last until April 16.
Other collectors Prapul Desai and Lakshmi Kiran, Rdos Ramesh and Mahesh, ACP Srinivas, Temple Eo Sudhakar and other officials oversee the process.
