SCR holds AMRIT station competition

Warangal: On Monday, the Secunderabad department of the Southwest Central Railway (SCR) conducted paper writing, painting competitions for Begumpet, Ramagundam, Karimnagar and Warangal. The competition was held on the themes “Mera Amrit Station” and “Operation Sindoor: Veerta Ki Misaal”.
The initiative was held on May 22 at a virtual ceremony at 103 redeveloped AMRIT stations by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, which includes three modern railway stations in Telangana, namely Begumpet, Karimnagar and Warangal, which are the Secunderabad division. The stations have been upgraded under the Amrit Bharat Station Program (ABSS) of the Ministry of Railways, which aims to modernize the train stations by enhancing passenger amenities.
A total of 170 students enthusiastically participated in the competitions at four locations. In Begumpet, an event with 75 participants was held in two private schools. In Warangal, the competition was held at the Railway Institute, and Kazipet attracted 70 students from four private educational institutions. In Ramagundam and Karimnagar, more than 25 students from different schools participated in the competition.
SCR will award first, second and third prizes in each category at each railway station on the day of the Prime Minister’s virtual inauguration. The chief guest will present the award.
SCR General Manager Arun Kumar Jain praised the students’ enthusiasm for participation and said such events captured the creativity and vision of young people in how they view India, and the transformative role the railway will play in.
