Dolby does not require a case license

New Delhi:The Supreme Court on Monday suggested a petitioner who could directly file a petition of contempt for BJP MP Nishikant Dubey because of his recent remarks to the court and India’s chief judge Sanjiv Khanna without seeking prior permission from the bench.

In a brief mention of Justices Br Gavai and Augustine George Masih, the petitioner’s lawyers cite news reports about Dolby’s comments – if the court continues to “making the law” and blames CJI on “civil war” in India and asks for leave to file a conspect lawsuit.

Judge Gawai replied: “You have made it. To submit, you do not need our permission.

Following the Dolby outbreak, the Center’s assurances delay certain provisions of the WAQF Act (Amendment) to further hearings. The BJP was quickly out of reach, with party chairman JP Nadda calling Dubey a “personal point” and reaffirming respect for judicial independence.
