A local court in Gentur sentenced a man to life imprisonment for killing his sister in a property dispute on Monday. Guntur S. Satish Kumar said in a Monday press release that criminal Shaik Nagul Meeraval, the son of Shaik Moula Saheb, attacked his sister Shaik Lal Bee and her daughter from Kothuru under Tulluru Mandal, and attacked Monday’s press release with a knife in 2017.
The incident stems from disagreements over the father’s property, which led to the death of Lar Bee. Her daughter survived. A case was registered with the Tulluru Police Department, according to a complaint filed by the victim’s father Shaik Moula Saheb.
Guntur Second District Court Judge Y. Nagaraju sentenced life imprisonment, fined Rs 1,000, and 10 years in prison under section 307 of IPC. SP praised prosecutor Shaik Barkat Ali and police officials for their efforts to secure a conviction.
