Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a high-level meeting with top government staff and foreign minister S Jaishankar, including Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, after India and Pakistan reached an understanding of the cessation of military operations. Defense Secretary Anil Chauhan and all three service directors NSA Ajit Doval were present.
Foreign Minister Vikram Misri said the Director of Military Operations of India and Pakistan (DGMO) has agreed to stop all shooting and military operations on land, air and oceans, and will take effect at 5pm on Saturday.

The brief announcement by the Foreign Secretary comes after U.S. President Donald Trump said India and Pakistan agreed to a “full and immediate” ceasefire after talks intervened by the U.S.
Misri said Pakistan’s DGMO summoned India’s DGMO at 3.35 p.m. earlier this afternoon.
