Union Home Minister Amit Shah said on Tuesday (March 25, 2025) that the two voters of the Hriat Conference – the J&K People’s Movement and the Democratic Political Movement – announced the cut-off of various ties to separatism.
Welcomed the move, Mr. Shaa asserted that the Modi government’s unified policy had “abandoned” separatism from Jamu and Kashmir.

Separatism has become Kashmir’s history, he said.
“Two organizations of the Hurriyat, J&K People’s Movement and Democratic Political Movement have declared a cut-off from various relations with separatism. I welcome this step towards strengthening the unity of Bharat and urge all of these groups to stand up once and for all, and stand up for all.” Shah wrote on X.
He said it was a huge victory for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of establishing a development, peace and unity Bharat.
