Seven militants arrested in Manipur

Imphal: Security forces arrested seven militants from different areas of Manipur, police said Saturday.

They said two militants belonging to the KCP (PWG) and involved in the ransomware activities were arrested on Friday in the Imphal East area.

They said security forces arrested the Chin Kuki Defence Force (CKNDF) in Tuibong, Churachandpur district on Thursday, adding that militants were involved in the recruitment of armed insurgency and cross-border weapons and drought campaigns by the CKNDF ​​group and the armed insurgency of ransom.

An active banned Prepak (Pro) cadre was arrested on Friday and was arrested in the Wangkhei Ayangpalli area in the Imphal East area on Friday.
Another militant in the costume was arrested Thursday in the Mayang Langjing area of ​​the Imphal West area.

Active cadres of the banned United Nations Liberation Front (PAMBEI) involved in blackmail were arrested from the Sangaiyumpham Cherapur Mayai Leikai area in Thoubal District.

Another militant from Prepak (Pro) was arrested on Thursday in Tronglaobi Makha Leikai in Bishnupur district. He participated in the recruitment of young people who will be sent to Prepak (Pro) in Myanmar.

Meanwhile, four guns were seized from the Senapati area on Friday, including two bolt-firing single-barrel rifles, a .22 bolt-firing rifle and a 9mm pistol with a magazine.
