Several cities including Delhi and Mumbai will be shut down for television as part of the safety drill

A national simulation exercise was conducted to assess emergency preparedness and assess local abilities to address safety challenges.
Civil defense simulation exercises were conducted in several cities after the successful Soviet passage operation by Indian armed forces against the Pakistani border and the terrorist camps in the Pakistan Occupy Kashmir (POK). The simulation exercise comes after a part of the MHA directive that strengthened security measures were taken after a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Kashmir on April 22, in which 26 innocent civilians, mainly tourists, were killed. At night, power outages were also observed in several cities, including Delhi and Mumbai. In the national capital, an emergency preparatory exercise was conducted at key locations on Wednesday night, including Terminal 3 of Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) headquarters, ISBT Region and North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) office.

The Indian armed forces successfully attacked nine terrorist targets, including four including Bahawalpur, Muridk and Sialkot, and used five in Pakistan-occupied Jamu and Kashmir (POK) with special precision ammunition. The operation was carried out jointly by the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force and the assets and forces were mobilized. Prime Minister Narendra Modi kept monitoring Operation Sindor all night.

Since last night, Pakistan opened fire in the civilian areas of Poonch and Tangdhar and other border areas of Jamu and Kashmir, causing enormous difficulties, forcing people to flee from homes and damaging several residences. Locals showed resilience and expressed support for Operation Sindor, which has responded to Pahalgam terrorist attacks through precise strikes in Pakistan and POK's terrorist infrastructure.
