“Several Deaths” After Two Helicopters Crash in Finland: Police

Police said several people died on Saturday, with two helicopters carrying five helicopters colliding in the air and crashing into the ground in the middle of Finland.
“The accident caused several deaths. The exact number of victims and the identity of the passengers are still being determined,” police said in a statement.
Media reports said the helicopter had taken off from Estonia and was carrying merchants and another had three people.
The report said they collided around noon in the western part of the capital Helsinki. Officials showed no sign of what caused the collision.
Finnish newspaper Iltalehti quoted an eyewitness Antti Marjanen as saying they saw a helicopter hit another during maneuvering.
“One of them fell like a stone, the other slowly. I heard nothing,” Mayanin quoted.
