Deputy Chief Minister Malu Bhatti Vikramarka said a study will be started that will use the Godavari River for land-locked Telangana for inland navigation.
“If feasible, the issue will be raised with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy,” said Mr. Vikramarka at a meeting held on Saturday at the Complex of Regional Offices in the Bhadradri Kothagudem district.
The meeting was linked to the foundation of three 33/11 kV substations, with an estimated 777.2 crore rupees and a premium bridge in Somulagudem, with spending at Paloncha Mandal of Rs 4 crore. He also opened a high-end bridge over the Kinnerasani River built in Yanambile in virtual mode.
Minister of Agriculture Tummala Nageswara Rao, Khammam MP R. Raghuram Reddy and Kothagudem Mla K. Sambasiva Rao were present.
Deputy CM outlines the state’s futurist policies on the overall growth of key sectors, such as IT, pharmaceuticals, power, health, housing and welfare programs, in addition to integrated regional developments.
He also announced the construction of a Regional Loop (RRR), linking multiple regions with pharmaceutical, agricultural and housing groups planned to be planned between the Outer Loop and RRR.
Central funds
He said: “A special monitoring system has been established in New Delhi to track central funding and development plans. The MPs of Telangana will discuss with the central minister and then visit with Minister Telangana to ensure the necessary support.”
He said that Telangana is growing rapidly, saying: “No other state in the country can match the pace of Telangana’s development. The ruler who had previously abused public funds for 10 years now makes unsubstantiated Telangana’s growth unsuccessful comments.”
He insisted that although the previous administration could not manage 15,000 megawatts of demand in 2023-24, the current government had no interference at its highest peak demand in March this year. Plans are used to utilize solar, Haidel and wind energy, aiming to generate 20,000 megawatts of green energy.
Mr Vikramarka said the Indira Solar Giri water development plan will be launched on Monday in Achampet, Nagarkurnool district. It aims to protect forests and empower tribal farmers throughout the state. The plan will cost Rs 125 crore without imposing any fees on the tribal community.
