Shahi Jama Masjid Wall’s Painting Starts After HC Commands Starts in Sambhal

Sambar: The mosque advocate said the painting of the exterior wall of Shahi Jama Mosque in Sambar in Uttar Pradesh began on Sunday morning. On March 12, the Allahabad High Court directed the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) to paint and finish whitewashing in the mosque within a week.
According to a High Court order, the ASI team conducted measurements and assessments on March 13. “The exterior walls of Shahi Jama Masjid in Sambhal were whitewashed,” Shakeel Warsi, an advocate representing the mosque at Sambar District Court, told PTI.
After the riots broke out on November 24 last year, after Sambhal investigated the Mughal mosque here. The two were killed and several clashes, including police, were injured.
