Famous former Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan recently formed a relationship with his girlfriend Sophie Shine official on social media. The couple shared a post on Thursday, May 1, which quickly became popular. Sophie added photos of both of them with the words “My Love” and “Heart Emoji.” The public statement marks the end of months of speculation and rumors surrounding their relationship.

Who is Sophie Shine?
Sophie, an Irish product consultant, currently serves as the second vice president-product consultant at Northern Trust Corporation, a US financial services company. The couple reportedly met Sophie’s place in the UAE.
Sophie’s educational background includes a degree in marketing and management from Limerick Technical College, as well as previous studies from Castleroy College in Ireland.
In the media conference, Dhawan hints at his relationship with Sophie, showing that he has moved on from his previous romantic engagement.
“I won’t bring any name. But the most beautiful girl in the room is my girlfriend. Now you can figure it out.” He told Anchor when asked to name it at Times The Times Condave.
Dhawan and his ex-wife Aesha Mukherjee ended their 11-year marriage in October 2023. The cricketer married Aesha in 2011, who had two daughters with his previous marriage, but their relationship worsened over time.
After the divorce, a court in Delhi admitted that Dawan had experienced a painful dhawan due to his ex-wife’s behavior, which led to his long separation from his son. The court noted that Asha either did not make these claims or provided no defense.
Despite the court’s recognition of the situation, Dawan was not granted permanent custody of Zoravar. Instead, he was granted access rights and allowed to have video calls with his son in India and Australia where Aesha currently lives. However, Dhawan claims that he has been blocked from communicating with his son through virtual means.
