Mumbai: Shiv Sena Minister Sanjay Shirsat claimed on Saturday that the 700 million rupees of rupees were transferred to other departments by Ajit Pawar’s finance ministry headed by Ajit Pawar. The minister said that if it is not important, it is better to close the Ministry of Social Justice.

Although Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena and Mr Pawar’s NCP are partners of the “Mahayuti” government led by the Maharashtra BJP, leaders of the three parties often get along with each other. In the latest episode of Single Professor, Mr Shirsat claimed that Rs 74.6 crore obtained from the budget provisions of the Ministry of Social Justice has been transferred to the CM Ladki Bahin (beloved sister) plan.

“I will attract Chief Minister Devendra Fadanvis' attention to the illegal acts of the Treasury,” the minister said.

Mr Shirsat accused the finance department of making arbitrary decisions about the transfer of funds, “Previously, they also transferred over Rs 70,000 crore from my department, and I don’t even know it. If the Ministry of Social Justice is not required, you don’t need to provide funds, then how will we close it.

Earlier in the day, opposition leaders from Maharashtra Legislative Council Ambadas Danve also claimed that of the 3,960 crore rupees allocated to the Ministry of Social Justice, Rs 41.43 crore was transferred by the state government.

Mr Danff claims that under the Ladki Bahin Women’s Welfare Plan, Rs 335,700 crore will be transferred from the Ministry of Tribal Development to cover monthly cash transfers. “The government has stole the tribe's money to pay the monthly salary of its beloved sister,” said the leader of Schiff Senna in a social media post.
