Trump offers to mediate in Kashmir, and India rejects him even during his first term: Former National Security Advisory Council member

Tilak Devasher, a former member of the National Security Advisory Council, said on Sunday that U.S. President Donald Trump provided his mediation between India and Pakistan even during his first term, but India was rejected by India.“This is a bilateral understanding, the conditions are not fixed, so DGMO will be discussed between May 12,” Devasher told ANI.
He added: “President Trump provided mediation even during his first term, but Prime Minister Modi said we are a mature country and we will solve it, we don’t need friends… We attacked Pakistan violently, so Pakistan’s airports were damaged, and therefore a ceasefire was urgent.”
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a meeting with Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Minister of External Affairs Jaishankar and the Triple Service Director at the residence of Lok Kalyan Marg in New Delhi on Sunday.

National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Defense Minister Anil Chauhan were also present. The meeting follows the Sindoor operation held by the Indian Armed Forces on 7 May, following the intensified tensions along the western border with Pakistan. The operation targeted nine terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (POK), retaliated against the April 22 Pahalgam attack, which was 26 Pahalgam attacks by 26 tourists.


Meanwhile, India and Pakistan said on Saturday that India and Pakistan have some knowledge of the firing and shutdowns in military operations. So,” he said in a post on X.

Earlier, Foreign Minister Vikram Misri told the media that the director-general of Pakistan’s military operations contacted his Indian counterpart on Saturday afternoon. (ANI)
