Confusion May Replace Gemini as Motorola Samsung’s default AI Assistant: Report

The confusion of AI entrepreneurship is reportedly in conversation with smartphone giants Samsung and Lenovo’s Motorola to integrate its virtual assistant into the phone.

If successful, the move would confuse the default AI assistant on Samsung and Motorola phones, thus replacing Google’s Gemini.

According to Bloomberg, the talks with Samsung are still in their early stages to quote people familiar with the matter. But Confusion has reached an agreement with Motorola, and the partnership is expected to be announced this month. Motorola reportedly plans to discuss cooperation at an event on April 24.

Potential deals with Samsung are even more complicated due to the in-depth cooperation between South Korean tech giants and Google. Google powers Samsung’s AI capabilities and is the default search engine on its devices. Still, Samsung has been building a positive relationship with Confused Development, followed by the investment arm that supported AI startups last year.

Samsung also reportedly plans to make another investment in confusion, which is currently being discussed with investors in a new round of funding.

Currently, Motorola and Samsung both offer their own AI systems along with Google Gemini on their smartphones. Although Motorola has a relatively small share in the global smartphone market, Samsung has a global market share of 20%. A successful partnership with both brands will significantly enhance the confusing image globally.

Confusion was founded in 2022 and is known for its real-time results, search engine-like interfaces and in-depth research capabilities. In March, Confusion announced a partnership with Deutsche Telekom AG to make AI-powered phones that are expected to debut later this year and will be available in 2026.
