Pizza debates between Chicago deep dish or New York slices have been exploding for years.
But now a third competitor has emerged, overturning both from the habitat.
According to a study by Maine Lobster, New Hampshire is the new best destination for American pizza.
With its large number of pizza shops offering delicious slices at competitive prices, the Granite State has been ranked number one for pizza lovers.
‘New Hampshire is the ultimate destination for pizza lovers. Maine Lobster now said in a statement that it has 1,022 pizza places, with the highest effect per 100,000 residents in the data set (highest effect in the data set).
‘Plus with 22,512 pizza per 100,000 residents with a higher pizza enthusiasm and a wallet-friendly average pizza price of $15.74, you have a state that ensures pizza lovers have plenty of options for relatively cheap prices. ”
By comparison, New York City pizza will make you return an average of $19.73.
The Big Apple ranked 29th in the study, which also points to the scarcity of pizza shops compared to the others on the list.

“Although it has a legendary New York-style slice and 3,717 pizza shops, the state’s density per 100,000 residents is 19.09 pizza shops compared to other residents,” the report said.
“It’s hard to reconcile these numbers with New York’s cultural dominance in the pizza world, but its iconic, thin, foldable slices continue to influence America’s love for pizza, regardless of ranking.”
To determine the best pizza destinations in the United States, the researchers analyzed the number of pizza stores per 100,000 residents and the number of Google searches related to pizza in the area.
They then use this data with the average price per state to determine the winner of New Hampshire.
Ranking only in Ohio, there are 35.13 pizza restaurants per 100,000 residents, an average of $15.89 per pizza.
Delaware has 32.56 pizza shops per 100,000 people around the podium, with a maximum of $15.70 per pie.
Pennsylvania followed closely behind, then Michigan, home to Detroit-style pizza, but Chicago’s Illinois is far from tabletop.
The rest of the first 10 locations went to Kansas, West Virginia, Rhode Island, Connecticut and Indiana.

The average price of pizza in Kansas is only $14.96, researchers noted.
In New Hampshire, Dave Portnoy of Barstool Sports identified Derry’s Ricochet as the best he tried out of eight restaurants in the state.
Portnoy rated the pizzeria as a pizzeria as part of his “One Bite” review series.
During his visit last year, he gave Ricochet a pie of 7.9 percent.
