Niyati’s journey into the professional music industry began when she was only four years old. Niyati had already conducted her first Trinity exam at five o’clock. Niati smiled and said, “I want to study the evolution from the Vedas to the current music.” She firmly believes that music evolved through the Vedas.

Musical genius

Niyati was just a six-month-old baby when she was first introduced to the Black and White Key and Xylophone. Next comes the “sound of music” everywhere – pots and pans, keyboards, bird buzz and toy keyboards. Play a song or tune in front of Niyati, and what you know is that she will reproduce it effortlessly among Jiffy’s numerous instruments.

Niyati’s mother and freelance writer Divya Saxena is filled with many talents of her daughter. “The first instrument Niyati wanted to play when she was a child was the keyboard.” Niyati was originally registered at a local music school that taught Indian classical music. However, Niyati’s interests tend to be more inclined to Western music. Niyati is one of the few musicians in India who can play Ravanahatha casually – an instrument believed to have been invented by Ravana, the devil king. “In the eighth grade offered by Trinity London, Niyati has cleared sixth grade, and she is now pursuing seventh grade,” Divya said. The little girl is a very musical calf. She can play the keyboard and blindfold her eyes. Niyati can even play on both keyboards at the same time. Few people know that Niyati has formal certification for the FL Studio-Music Comping Software system.

A difficult past

In a country obsessed with “boys”, Nyati was allegedly thrown from the balcony of the house by his father when he was almost one month old. He despises the idea of having a girl. “Niati was lucky that her neighbor caught her and she was rescued,” Divya recalled. Divya has always been the pillar of her daughter’s strength. “My mother has always been my strongest supporter and guide,” Niarty said, adding with a smile, “Other parents push their kids to pursue streams like science and business. My mom told me to choose the humanities and pursue music.”

Full circle

Interestingly, Niyati also proved her courage among scholars. She performed 97% in eighth grade, even surpassing the class. Divya proudly says, “I think every parent should invest in having a great time with their kids.” It’s about how rich your life is or the money you spend on your little ones, but about having a great time, raising and helping them realize their dreams. Share her experience as a single mother. “Even in a city like Delhi, I face stigma,” Divya said. Some insensitive and curious people asked Niyati, “Where is your father?” But Niyati foiled such ruthless numbers and said, “I have a mother who supports it despite not having a father, and what that might be.” Niyati said her mother was always pursuing music. “One of the main reasons why kids of my age are not pursuing their dreams is because their parents may not have support,” she said.

Perfect synchronization

Every time Niyati plays music, she resonates with the audience. This little music master plans to train himself through formal education in Sanskrit and pursue a PhD in music when he grows up. Her passion for music and passion for music are impeccable examples of passion, dedication and perseverance for a person.
