Anand reviews Hanuman Yatra’s security

Hyderabad: City Police Commissioner CV Anand held a video conference with regional police on Tuesday to review the security arrangements of the Sri Veera Hanuman Vijaya Yatra, which is scheduled to take place on April 12. He reviewed the events of previous marchs and reviewed the proposed security plan in detail.

Anand said special surveillance will be strengthened, especially at the intersection where the smaller parades are expected to merge with the main Shobha Yatra. Additional troops will be deployed in sensitive areas, especially near religious sites.

He instructed the Zonal header, ACP and SHOS to maintain continuous monitoring in the determined area. SHOS was instructed to personally check the march route from Sri Ram Mandir of Gowliguda and Bible House to Tadbund Hanuman Temple, identify potential obstacles and report them to the authorities for immediate action.

SHO also must notify DJ organizers that avoiding the sound system during the parade helps protect public health and the well-being of devotees. The commissioner said it is prohibited to blow up firecrackers, throw them at pedestrians, or throw gulals (colored powder) to the public. Participants are advised to make restrictions, especially during the return journey.

He warned against provocative banners and asked organizers to limit the number of vehicles and prevent harassment from other communities. Anand clarified that the use of drones will be prohibited unless the authorities obtain prior written permission.

It is advised that the public should not believe or spread rumors on social media. Cycle provocation or false posts may cause legal action. He added that special attention will be taken to prevent stealing and chain robbery during Yatra.

Additional Commissioner (Law and Order) Vikram Singh Mann, DCP (Special Branch) S. Chaitanya Kumar, DCP (IT Cell) Pushpa, Zonal DCPS, ACPS, ACPS, inspectors and other officials participated in the video conference.
