Siddaramaiah accuses BJP-led NDA prices for rising prices and fuel prices

Bellagarve: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Friday blamed the sharp rise in prices of basic commodities such as fuel and cooking gas on BJP and questioned the BJP’s moral power in criticizing the Karnataka Congress government. He also served as Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s government debt has quadrupled since his tenure.

Siddaramaiah refuted the ongoing Jan Aakrosh Yatra with a diversionary strategy when speaking at the Bellagarve Airport.

“It is the BJP government in the center responsible for the price increase. Despite the sharp drop in international crude oil prices, the prices of gasoline, diesel and LPG are still rising. During Manmohan Singh’s tenure, crude oil was priced at $120 a barrel; today, that has dropped to $65. However, gasoline prices fell to $65.

His aim at Prime Minister Modi, adding: “When Modi took office, the country’s total debt was Rs 5.3 lakh. Now, it has exceeded Rs 200 million. Who is responsible for this fourfold increase?”

Siddaramaiah also hit back on BJP’s criticism of the state’s financial situation, saying the previous BJP government approved projects without budget allocations. “Now they are teaching us. If the country is facing financial pressure, it’s because of their mismanagement,” he said. “Despite talking about the financial crisis, our budget has increased by 3.8 crore this year. Does that look like bankruptcy to anyone?”

“The response to the allegations of former CM Jagadish Shettar is politically motivated to retain CM positions,” Siddaramaiah said, “The caste census is a commitment made by Congress. It is crucial to understand the economic and social conditions of each community. Even the court seeks such data. ”

He assured that the investigation was conducted in a scientific way. He said: “About 101 million people participated, including 136,000 teachers (most of which come from the general category). Overall, 95% accuracy was achieved, 98% in rural areas and 96% in urban areas. The report will be presented at the conference after discussions in the cabinets.”

He responded to the Maharashtra government’s plan to build buildings in Bellagarve, saying that the Karnataka government also built Karnataka Bhavan in New Delhi, which is allowed under the federal system. He asserted: “But Maharashtra cannot encroach on our land. Under no circumstances will we give up on Bellagarve.”

The CM also said the state government constituted the Nagamohan DAS committee to study internal bookings between scheduled castes and directed it to submit a report within two months. He explained: “There are 102 castes in the SC, including Adi Dravida, Adi Andhra and Adi Karnataka. This survey will help clarify how to classify them.”
