Siddharth Anand seems to confirm Deepika Padukone’s leading lady in Shah Rukh Khan, Suhana Khan, Abhishek Bachchan-Starrer King

Even before its official announcement, King had become one of the longest-rated movies in Hindi cinemas as it reunited with Shah Rukh Khan with Siddharth Anand after the 2023 blockbuster Pathaan. Earlier this month, there were reports that Deepika Padukone will be seen playing Suhana Khan’s mother in a long cameo of the upcoming action entertainer. Siddharth also held action thrillers like War and Fighter, then got his X (formerly Twitter) account and wrote “False”, suggesting that the report was unfounded.

Now, on Tuesday, a new report states that Deepika will play a mature role in the King without revealing any other details about her. Quote a source told Pinkvilla: “Shah Rukh Khan is always clear to take Deepika Padukone to the King. Initially, as Deepika took time to be with the newborn’s children, and the dates did not match, and also stayed with the newborn’s gym and returned to physical condition in the gym. Due to the delay in the King’s schedule, the time was extended, and the time and the movie on the board were later.

After all the discussion and setting the shooting schedule, everything was fine with wearing Deepika. The flooring is in Mumbai on May 18 and is scheduled to be released in the last quarter of 2026.

After the report came out, the director got his X account and wrote: “AB True”, which seemed to confirm Deepika’s role as the leading lady in the King. This means that the actress will indeed be part of the film, but will not play Suhana Khan’s mother. Kim also starred in Abhay Verma, Arshad Warsi and Jaideep Ahlawat, with Abhishek Bachchan being the main opponents. The official announcement of the film is expected to happen soon.
