A large-scale civil defense simulation exercise was conducted in 275 regions across the country on Wednesday. The nationwide operation involved power outages, air strike simulations and emergency training, shortly after India's air strikes in Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir. The exercise was conducted under the direction of the Union's Ministry of Home Affairs, which required all states and UTS to organize such exercises under the “new and complex threats” after terrorist attacks in Jamu and Pahalgam in Kashmir on April 22.
