Visakhapatnam, May 7: The simulation exercises prescribed by the Ministry of the Interior (MHA) were held in the city on Wednesday, with personnel from several departments promulgating rescue operations in the case of simulated bomb attacks.
NDRF, SDRF, police and other departments participated in the exercise. Under simulated conditions, SDRF personnel were taken to a stretcher to carry a person from a bomb-hitting building. Staffed security personnel can also be seen patrolling the train coaches, while volunteers and NCC Cadets help in drilling training.

On Tuesday, Visakhapatnam regional collector MN Harendhira Prasad announced that two locations, Kotha Jalaripeta and Oxygen Towers, have been selected for the drill.
