Since independence, Barabanki has become the first village to pass level 10 in the village

In the historical feat of a remote small village in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, a 15-year-old has become the first villager to pass the Level 10 Board Exam since independence. From the Ramkeval Hails in Nizampur Village, the village is about 30 km away and has about 300 people, mainly from the Dalit community.

He is the eldest of four siblings, and he does odd jobs during the day to support his family and burn down midnight oil to prepare for the exam. District Magistrates Judge Shashank Tripathi paid tribute to Ramkeval and his parents on Sunday in recognition of the achievement. He also assured him all the help of learning.

Ramkeval shared in an emotional narrative that he once carried lights in the wedding parade and received Rs 250 to 300 a day. “Although I return late at night, I will study under the solar lights at home for at least two hours. Some people in the village once laughed at me and said I would never pass high school. But I always believed that I would prove them wrong.”

As the eldest son, he also contributed to family spending. “Poverty forces people to do everything. But I want to learn anyway.” When asked about his dream, Ramkiwar said he wanted to be an engineer, but he admitted that it was still hard to believe that he had passed Level 10.

According to Ramkeval's family and teachers, he has always been a smart student and has performed well in exams and exams. His mother, Pushpa, was a chef at a rural primary school and was overwhelmed by pride and I always believed that my son would pass by. I only studied until Level 5, but I want my kids to learn more despite financial struggles. ”

Ramkeval's siblings are in the ninth, fifth and first. Ramkeval's father, Jagdish, who is a daily wage worker, said: “I can't study, but I always encourage my son. Even if he goes with me, he will come back and study.”

School Inspector (DIOS) OP Tripathi praised the students' determination, saying that Ramkeval showed the next generation the path to success. I congratulate him and his family on writing an inspiring new chapter in the history of the village. “I also have the full responsibility to support his future education so that he can achieve his dream. He is a role model for students who are frustrated with education.

Meanwhile, other students in the village, such as Lovelesh and Mukesh (who failed the exam this year), have recovered their determination to study harder, inspired by Ramkeval. Lovelesh's father Nanku said: “I have been studying until level 8. I work in the fields, but I don't want my son to continue working. Education is the only way forward.” The women in the village expressed their happiness and hope, saying that they are now determined to educate their children.
