Leaders of all five countries have been in touch with Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the past two weeks. India still expects Iranian Foreign Minister to visit Abbas Araghchi on Wednesday, although officials say his arrival has been delayed for several hours.

The MEA also said in its statement that it expects “Pakistan will take action against terrorists and the infrastructure that supports them”.

“Instead, Pakistan has been addicted to denials and accused of false flag operations against India over the past two weeks.”

Marco Rubio briefly introduces

It added that NSA Ajit Doval spoke with the U.S. National Security Agency and Secretary of State Marco Rubio about India's actions.

In an article on social media platform X, Mr Rubio said that his engagement with leadership on both sides cited early statements by U.S. President Donald Trump on the historical conflict between India and Pakistan and hopes that the current escalation will end soon.

“I am closely monitoring the situation between India and Pakistan. [U.S. President Trump’s] Comments earlier today said this hope will end quickly and will continue to address peace solutions with leadership in India and Pakistan. ”

China, which is not the country listed in the MEA briefing, calls these strikes “regretful”

“We are concerned about the ongoing situation,” a spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry said Wednesday morning. The spokesman added: “China opposes all forms of terrorism” and both sides called for “exercising constraints and avoiding actions that could further complicate the situation.
