A school bus carries Koyyam Markus school students and staff overturned on a corner in Koyyam in Chenggalayi Panchayat in Canalal on Saturday.
Sreekandapuram police said about 20 people, including students, were injured around 8.30 p.m.
The group is going to the teacher’s son’s wedding reception. The vehicle capsized on the curve and finally stopped after hitting a tree. There were 33 people on the bus, including dormitory students.
Although several passengers suffered bruises and minor injuries, none were in serious condition.
