Amaravati: The Special Investigation Team (SIT) investigated the alleged alcohol scam during the last YSRCP regime in Andhra Pradesh, and arrested two more on Friday.
Dhanunjaya Reddy and Krishna Mohan Reddy were arrested tonight after an inquiry at SIT.
Retired IAS official Dhanunjaya Reddy holds key positions in the former YSRCP-led government. Krishna Mohan Reddy served as an official in the Special Position (OSD) of former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
The Supreme Court on Thursday rejected the expected bail request related to the case, according to YSRCP sources.
Recently, the commission arrested the executive director of Bharati Cement Company Pvt Ltd Balaji Govindappa.
In the recent remand report by Kasireddy Raja Sekhar Reddy, the principal defendant in the alleged alcohol scam, SIT appointed several people who played a key role between 2019 and 2024.
The Enforcement Bureau has verified the money laundering case to investigate the so-called alcohol scam.
The ED case stems from economic crimes against state police in September 2024.
