Sit Grills retired IAS official and Jagan’s OSD in wine scam

The Special Investigation Team (SIT) police on Wednesday asked retired IAS officials and former secretary of the Chief Minister’s Office K. Dhanunjaya Reddy and former Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the Office of Special Responsibility (OSD) Krishna Mohan Reddy in the alleged alcohol scam.

The Supreme Court instructed the police not to arrest two people until May 16, when Mr Dhanunjaya Reddy and Mr Krishna Mohan Reddy appeared before investigators.

SIT named Mr Dhanunjaya Reddy, Mr Krishna Mohan Reddy and Mr Krishna Mohan Reddy in the YSRCP government’s multi-billion scam, respectively, Nos. 31 and 32 respectively.

In related developments, Vijayawada, the Special Court of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB), dispatched Balaji Govindappa, director of the Barati Cement Bureau, who was arrested in a liquor scam and remanded judicially. Police transferred him to Vijayawada Prison. Police arrested Mr Govindappa in Mysolu on Tuesday and moved him to Vijayawada with a traffic warrant for the prisoner.

Meanwhile, SIT police continued to raid suspects at various locations in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The raid was conducted on the company of the suspect P. Rohit Reddy, who was in the scam. Sit in Shaikpet, Gudi Malkapur, Rajendranagar, Yakutpura and other areas for raids. Earlier, police searched the defendant’s house in Vijayawada.

YSRCP leaders allegedly have floated some Shell companies and transferred the money by illegal means in the alcohol scam.
