Las Crooks: CNN cited local police citing local police reports that three people were killed and 15 injured in a shooting in the park in Las Crooks, New Mexico on Friday night (local time). “I want to ask the community to come together, stand up, be strong and united, and try to heal and face this tragic event that has happened in our city,” he said.
In an Instagram post on Saturday, Ras Crooks City Councilman and Mayor Pro tem Johana Bencomo described the shooting as “a heinous act of violence that will mourn our city.”
“My heart is hurt for the victims and affected families,” she wrote. Las Cruces is located on the edge of the Chihuahua Desert, about 41 miles north of the U.S.-Mexico border.
