Six-year-old boy died after nightmare crash on the far south coast of New South Wales, three injured

A six-year-old boy died in a two-car crash on a winding country road, which also injured two young girls and a 30-year-old man.

A double cab and a dump truck collided at 4.10pm on Tuesday on Towamba Road on Nullica on the far south coast of New South Wales.

The little boy has been traveling in ute and died at the scene.

The 30-year-old male UTE driver and a three-year-old girl were also injured several times and were airlifted to the hospital by Merimbula Airport.

An eight-year-old girl who also traveled in UTE was taken to the Southeast Regional Hospital in Bega.

The truck driver, believed to be in his 50s, was taken to the hospital for mandatory tests and was shocked at the scene.

He has since been released.

Crash investigators inspected the scene Tuesday night.

Taba Road has been closed for several hours.

Police urge anyone who witnessed the collision to contact the crime stopper.

Nullica is located south of the Garden of Eden near the border between New South Wales and Victoria.
