Registration process
The pilgrims first need to register on the Char Dham Yatra portal of the Uttarakhand government and register and Touristcare.uk.gov.in. Although, the state government also allows pilgrims to reach the pilgrim’s registration counter, which is a multitude of pilgrims around the state. They are located in the Haridwar, Dehradun, Rishikesh, Chamoli, Rudraprayag and Uttarkashi areas. Pilgrims can also use the government to provide helicopter facilities for CHAR DHAM, however, the charges on one side may be high, ranging from Rs 6,000 to Rs 8,000 and one side with a DHAM. Char Dham’s online registration fee is completely free if done on the official website.
Safety arrangements
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami held a virtual meeting with all district magistrates on Monday to direct them to strengthen security arrangements before Char dham Yatra. Before all religious and tourist sites must pay special attention to Yatra, safe arrangements for all religious and tourist sites must be ensured. Instruct DMS to regularly monitor security measures within its jurisdiction.
He also asked them to act immediately against individuals or groups on social media platforms, especially during Char Dham Yatra. CM said accurate and verified information must be disseminated regularly through all channels. He said individuals living in temporary settlements must also be verified, including suppliers, street vendors and residents of slums. Instruct regional authorities to assign department officials specifically for verification of drives.
