Slices above the rest

When I first took a bite of the remodeled menu products of the Pizza Hut, I immediately returned to my childhood, devouring their signature pot pizza at the exit of Cunningham Road in Bangalore. The taste, although familiar, has developed – a perfect blend of nostalgia and innovation. Years later in Hyderabad, I was happy to try some new snacks and I must say that they didn’t disappoint them.

The pizza landscape has undergone a major transformation, with the rise of thin-shell pizza and gourmet toppings. But the deep smoke, fluffy crust of the Pizza Hut is still unparalleled, reflecting the expertise of their bakers. The modified menu boasts a range of innovative cuisines, including Momo Mia (Momos on pizza), grilled cheesy Momo and vegetarian barbecue and more.

My cooking journey began with their signature pot pizza. Awesome American Taboo is a sacred piece with a Peruvian-inspired cheese sauce topped with sweet corn, green chili, red pepper powder and 100% cheese cheese. The generous drizzle of Texas garlic sauce adds a rich buttery element to the dish.

Tandoori Paneer is another iconic product that is equally impressive, with spiced panes, crispy onions and green chili, all bundled with delicious Tandoori sauce and Mozzarella cheese.

Next, I sampled their melt range, which included veggie-barbecue and cheeky cheese veggies. The former is a masterclass of texture and flavor, with a thin, crispy crust filled with crisp onions, green chilies, red bell chilies, juicy corn, mushrooms and mosarella cheese. The iconic BBQ sauce adds a rich sweetness element, while the herb butter and spice seasoning provide a satisfying finish.

The cheeky cheese veggies, though similar, have a more obvious cheesy flavor, with a crispy crust with a pleasantly fragile vulnerability. On the side, I indulge in roasted cheesy Momo Veg, which includes momos stuffed with a juicy vegetarian mixture, sprinkled with spicy Schezwan gravy topped with mosarella cheese. The combination of flavor and texture is simply pleasant. No dessert, no meal was complete, and the chocolate volcano of the Pizza Lodge was not disappointing. The warm sticky chocolate cake was the perfect conclusion of my cooking journey. Pizza Hut’s modified menu proves its commitment to innovation and quality. Whether you’re a fan of their classic pot pizza or want to try something new, their products are sure to satisfy your cravings. When I finished my meal, I couldn’t help feeling nostalgic because knowing that the Pizza Hut was still a constant feeling in the ever-changing culinary landscape.
