State TV reports

State TV reported that the Iranian Ministry of Defense announced the country's latest solid-ballistic missile amid the backdrop of the U.S. threat to its nuclear program. Television showed off the “Qassem Basir” ballistic missile in an interview with Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh. This includes guidance and maneuverability improvements to overcome the defense layer and easily bypassing the anti-welded defense system, he said. The missile was recently tested on April 17.
The TV describes the missile as having at least 1200 kilometers (745 miles) of range. It also said that the missile can identify and achieve designated targets in multiple targets without GPS guidance and precisely accurate.
Nasirzade said in a comment on the X-platform Defense Minister Pete Hegseth on Platform X, who warned Iran of support for Yemen's Hotis, who said that if the U.S. or Israel launched a war, Iran would create their interests, bases and strength anywhere and wherever necessary. ”

“We are not hostile to our neighbors and seek fraternal relations, but if an attack occurs, the U.S. base in the region will be considered a legitimate target.”

Nasirzadeh said Yemen said Yemen was an independent country, making its own decisions and rejected our attempt to link Iran to the conflict there. Tehran has developed its ballistic missile program after being attacked by Iraqi Scud missiles in the Iran-Iraq War – as a hedge against Western armed neighbors, as Embargos makes it inaccessible to modern attack aircraft. The announcement of the missile was amid escalating tensions after Houthis strikes at Ben Gurion Airport in Israel. In response, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed to commit major revenge on Hushis and his Iranian supporters. The incident marked a significant escalation of regional hostilities.

Meanwhile, indirect negotiations between Iran and the United States, scheduled for May 3 in Rome, were suspended last week. The Iranian Foreign Ministry said the postponement was held at the request of Omani Foreign Minister and he had been mediating negotiations. The new date has not been announced yet.

President Donald Trump has repeatedly threatened to release air strikes against Iran if a deal is not reached. Iranian officials are increasingly warning that they can use uranium to store to near-weapon-level levels in pursuit of nuclear weapons.
