52 kg ganja worth Rs 26 lakh to occupy in Secunderabad

During a surprise inspection at the Secunderabad train station on Wednesday afternoon, the Government Railway Police Department (GRP) and the Railway Protection Force (RPF) confiscated more than 52 kilograms of Ganja, an estimated value of Rs 2.6 lakh.
The food stall next to four suspicious bags was found to face the end of the kazipet on the platform 7. After securing two independent mediators, the team opened the bag and found 26 neat dry ganja packages, each weighing about 2 kilograms. The total quantity is 52 kg.
A case was booked under the Anesthetic Drugs and Mental Substances Act, under the Secunderabad RPS of 1985.
So far, no arrests have been made and investigations are underway to determine the source and intended recipients of contraband.
